How do people on youtube get there videos?

I have this converter box, but I don't know how to use it. I don't have an antenna. What should I do? I just have my tv, and this converter box I got from Bestbuy. I didn't have cable before. Please help me, thanks.
How to use a converter box:

All you need is to hook an antenna up tot eh antenna port on the converter box and then hook the box up to your TV. The details of that last step depend upon the converter box which you got and your TV. I think they all have analog pass through but that doesn't always provide the greatest picture.
