Youtube help? How to make a video so it just shows a picture while the audio plays?

If you have a Mac, there is a pre-installed program called iMovie, which has great effects and is great for the type of video you want as well. This program is very advanced but not nearly as advanced as Final Cut Express or Final Cut Pro, which is for Macs only. It has so many effects, filters, generators, and much more, although you have to buy these.
I got a pantech matrix recently and I found a few songs that I want, but they aren't on itunes. I have a USB cable and a 8 GB SD memory card. I have gotten songs from itunes to my phone, but I can't find out how to get them from youtube. I just need a free program that will let me get music from youtube, shorten it and download it.MKV Converter for Mac provides powerful edit functions, such as trim video, crop.
I love this program. (: You can freely download videos from Youtube or convert em into mp3 files. You just paste the link and press download. You can do more than one song at once.
To shorten it I use this program called Audio Editor Gold. I don't have a link for it but you can just Google it.

If you have a PC, there should be a program pre-installed called Windows Movie Maker, it’s not the best program, but it will get you started with making simple videos like the ones you want. I tried using Windows Movie Maker, but it wouldn't work.
use windows movie maker (included in your windows machine)... it can help you make beautiful slideshow or video clip(e.g. mixing your songs with pictures/video/lyric/etc).... then save it as video file such as wmv file format... finally upload.
or .. Just get those clips you want , save & convert them, and then mix/match with pix/sound/etc using windows movie maker to create new masterpieces....Mac DVD ripper could rip DVD to AVI, multiform videos/audios Rip DVD movie to video and audio formats including AVI, MPEG, WMV, MP4, DivX, H.264/AVC, MOV, 3GP, 3GP2, MP3, WAV, WMA, AC3, M4A, OGG, RA, AU, etc.
