How do you get rid of windows ?

You could use a USB external hard drive that's the easiest way to do it. Or if the 17 gigs are many files you could use a rewritable dvd or 4 blank dvd's and copy the files to them as they say where there is a will there is away

back up all your data in XP
Go to your computer BIOS "at the start screen"
