I was born and raised Roman Catholic. They never really say you can't or shouldn't listen to a particular artist or song, but as a Christian, they suggest not affiliating yourself with music or artists that go too far. I see it as personal. If I don't want to hear a song or artist because of the content because of how I was raised, then I don't. The actual religion does not put the restriction on though.
I love a diverse selection of music. I especially like gospel choirs and Christmas hymns!
My nephew is in a metal alternative band, my landlord is lead singer in a psychedelic indie band, I have my radio tuned to classical and I hum pop music all day.
